A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
“I built Montrose because cannabis deserved more heart, more taste and a higher standard.”
When I started Montrose, I was not trying to build another cannabis store. I was trying to build the place people talked about after they left—the one with the products nobody else had yet, the freshest drops, the best lineage conversations and a crew that genuinely gave a damn.
For me, this has always been bigger than inventory. When there is a problem in the supply chain, I do not think, “we are losing money.” I think, “my people do not have their products, and I have to take care of my people.” That mindset shaped the brand from day one.
Montrose sits between legacy knowledge and the legal market. We respect where cannabis came from, but we are here to push it forward: better e-commerce, better education, better access, better standards and more room for independent craft producers to win.
We have evolved from one Pickering storefront into a local recreational destination and a national medical platform. The model changed. The mission did not.

Montrose Cannabis was founded by Nick in 2021. He built the company to bridge legacy cannabis knowledge with legal retail, modern e-commerce, stronger product education and a more human customer experience.
